Adrinka Playing Cards

Adinkra symbols are icons originating from the African country of Ghana which has been used extensively in fabrics, logos, pottery, and other architectural features. Having a decorative function, the symbols represent objects that encapsulate evocative messages that convey traditional wisdom, aspects of life or the environment. Leveraging the versatile iconography the deck of cards reflects these concepts in a new and original variation of the designs, picking out 4 of the symbols that best represent my own personality.
